The Titanic Panic

Ein Gedicht von Daisy Picoems
It happened one night on the Atlantic
A huge ship called Titanic
Moving far too fast
Taking many lives at last
Believing it an unsinkable ship
With many on their last trip
People smoking, joking
Not concerned a bit
Until they felt the hit
Ripping six holes into the right side
Only 12 square feet wide
Women and children first
Leaving men for the worst
People worrying, hurrying
Slowly breaking into panic
Ice cold water filling up the Titanic
The weight pulling it into the deep
Forever there to keep
With no one close enough to help
But many there to hear them yelp
People dying, crying
